Reflection
Your heart needs care, just like your body does. Constantly ignoring your emotions, your tiredness, or your worries can affect you on the inside. God wants to teach you to live with balance, wisdom, and honesty. Part of growing up is also learning to take care of your thoughts, your emotions, and your decisions, one day at a time.
Simone Biles is considered one of the best gymnasts in the world. For years she trained with discipline and reached impressive results.
But during a very important competition, she made a decision that surprised a lot of people: she chose to stop competing in order to take care of her emotional and mental health.
Many people expected her to keep going, no matter how she was feeling. Simone, though, understood something important: caring for your heart and your mind is also part of living wisely.
Sometimes we think that being strong means never stopping, never showing that we are tired, never admitting what we are feeling. But ignoring our emotions can hurt us too.
God gave us a heart that needs care.
That includes learning to rest, saying what we feel, asking for help when we need it, and watching over what we let into our thoughts and our emotions.
Caring for your heart is not a sign of weakness. It is an act of wisdom too.
