Reflection
Doing things with dedication is a very good thing. But chasing perfection all the time can bring exhaustion and frustration. God does not expect you to never fail. He knows your weaknesses and, even so, he loves you deeply. Learning to treat yourself with grace is also part of growing up healthy and at peace.
Camila wanted to do everything right. She worked hard at school, in her activities, and even in small things. When she made a mistake, she got frustrated quickly, because she felt she was letting other people down.
One day, while she was working on an important project, something went wrong. She had given a lot of time to that work, but the result did not turn out the way she expected. She was so upset with herself that she started to cry.
Her grandmother, who was nearby, sat down beside her and said something simple: “Making a mistake does not change how much you are worth.”
Camila was quiet for a moment. She had never thought about it that way.
Over time, she understood something important: doing things well is good, but living to be perfect can wear your heart out. God does not love you only when everything goes right. He is also with you when you fail, when you learn, and while you are still growing. You do not have to demand so much of yourself to deserve God's love. His grace reaches your weaknesses too.
