Reflection
Trusting God does not mean understanding everything that happens. Very often it means to keep walking even while the questions are still there. God stays faithful in the hard moments, and learning to rest in Him can bring peace to your heart in the middle of uncertainty and fear. Corrie Ten Boom lived through very hard moments during a time of war. There were situations of fear, uncertainty, and pain that seemed impossible to understand.
Even so, Corrie learned something that marked her whole life: trusting God even without having all the answers.
At different times she spoke about how we often want to understand first and trust afterward. With God, though, we learn that sometimes we have to trust before we completely understand what is happening.
That does not mean she never felt sadness or fear. It means she decided not to face those emotions alone.
All of us will have days when things do not turn out the way we hoped, or when we do not understand why certain situations happen. Even then, God is still faithful.
Trusting does not always mean having complete clarity.
Very often it means resting in the knowledge that God is still holding us up, even when we cannot yet see the whole road.
