Reflection
God did not create us to live completely on our own. Healthy relationships are part of how we grow, and they help us face life with more confidence and hope. All of us need people we can trust, people we can share our joys, our struggles and the things we are learning with. Talking, asking for support and building good friendships are also part of emotional and spiritual care.
From the very beginning, God showed us something important: people were not made to live completely alone.
When God created Adam, he saw that it was not good for him to be alone. So he created relationships, family and friendship as an important part of life.
Sometimes we think we have to solve everything by ourselves, or that asking for company makes us weak. But God created us to live in relationship and to care for one another. All of us need people we can talk with, laugh with, learn from and feel safe around. Healthy friendships bring joy, support and courage in hard moments. They also help us grow, learn and remember that we are not walking alone.
That does not mean every relationship will be perfect. There will be challenges and differences. Even so, God keeps showing us how valuable it is to walk with company.
Our hearts were also made to connect, to love and to be loved, sharing life in a way that is healthy and safe.
